Background and Current Scope of Practice
Stefan Jovanovic is an associate attorney representing clients in various civil practice areas, including personal injury and tort defense, construction litigation, premises liability, and insurance defense.
Born to immigrant parents and raised in Toronto, Canada, Stefan always dreamed of becoming an attorney in the United States—a goal inspired by his grandfather’s own aspirations. He earned a full scholarship to attend law school in Louisiana and began his legal career in North Carolina, where he defended national carriers in workers’ compensation claims. From the start, Stefan was in the courtroom, arguing before judges immediately after being sworn in. These early experiences sharpened his advocacy skills and gave him valuable insight into the needs of insurance adjusters to be well-informed and supported in making strategic defense decisions. Now based in Dallas, Stefan continues to build on that foundation as part of the WBC team.
Outside the office, Stefan enjoys exploring new local restaurants, taking long walks, and spending time with friends. He also maintains an interest in modern American history, often visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Center to see new exhibits. In addition, he enjoys playing poker and collecting rare Pokémon cards.
