Background and Current Scope of Practice
Patrick McGuire is a trial attorney who represents clients in many areas, specifically personal injury, insurance defense, fire-related litigation, and wrongful death.
Prior to joining Walters Balido & Crain, Patrick practiced for several years in criminal law. Patrick started his career as a prosecutor and eventually worked his way up to felony prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. During this time, Patrick received specialized training in Arson and Explosives cases through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms. Since then, Patrick has worked on many fire-related cases.
After his time with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, Patrick worked for a prominent criminal defense firm in Plano, TX. Patrick successfully fought for his clients in many jury trials, receiving favorable verdicts, including several not guilty verdicts.
Patrick grew up in Prosper, TX, and has lived most of his life in the DFW area. Outside of work, Patrick spends time with his wife and children. Patrick enjoys golf, distance running, grilling/smoking, and cheering for his college & pro teams.
