Background and Current Scope of Practice

Kamal Packer is an associate with Walters Balido and Crain specializing in civil litigation including personal injury and insurance defense.

Mr. Packer served 11 years active duty in the United States Coast Guard, where his job duties were tailored to logistics and financial management, including but not limited to reconciliation of federal holding accounts. While fulfilling his active-duty service, he acquired his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from American Military University.

During his last three years of active duty, Mr. Packer attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate and position as a staff member with the Moot Court Team. In his last semester, he interned with the Honorables Paula Brown and Dale Atkins at the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. After graduating from Loyola, Mr. Packer served as Honorable Paula A. Brown’s Judicial Law Clerk.  

Before joining Walters Balido and Crain, Mr. Packer handled complex litigation and personal injury matters involving both commercial and non-commercial collisions, premises liability, and dog bites in the State of Louisiana, and commercial collisions throughout the State of Texas, namely the DFW area.
