Background and Current Scope of Practice

C. Scott Wells is a trial attorney with extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation. A former criminal prosecutor who rose to the rank of Chief at the Denton County District Attorney’s Office, Scott gained invaluable trial experience early in his career. He later transitioned into civil litigation, focusing on toxic tort matters. In that role, he traveled nationwide representing clients in product liability and general civil litigation defense.

Today, Scott represents clients in insurance defense, wrongful death, premises liability, transportation, and automobile litigation. With a deep passion for trial work, he is a vigorous advocate committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. Scott is admitted to practice in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, Scott has lived in various locations across the United States and abroad. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from James Madison University, followed by a Master of Public Administration from Florida State University. He later completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Tulsa.

Outside of the office, Scott enjoys traveling, exploring new food destinations, music, writing, photography, exercising, the outdoors, and collegiate sports.
